Alice Izumo

Alice joined East Asian Legal Studies in November 2022. From 2014 to 2022, she was a reference librarian and lecturer in law at Columbia Law School, where she taught legal research classes and provided reference assistance on U.S. and international law. Previously, she was a litigation associate in the Tokyo office of a large law firm. Prior to law school, she was an AmeriCorps paralegal in the Immigration Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services, primarily working with people applying for asylum. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, a M.L.S. from St. John’s University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
