Join us for a conversation with Ambassador Katherine C. Tai, U.S. Trade Representative (2021-2025) on U.S.- China trade relations, moderated by Professor Mark Wu, Director of the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. Ambassador Tai will examine the longstanding issues in the trade relationship, dating back to her days as the Chief Counsel for China Trade Enforcement in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and the harms to U.S. communities and interests arising out of the “China Shock.” She will also assess the ongoing trade conflict and the likelihood of further challenges ahead as the world’s two largest economies navigate a complicated and contentious relationship with immense economic, strategic, and social consequences.
